Building Cleaning
Restoration or cleaning of masonry
surfaces such as bricks, stone, concrete and aggregate panels
can be achieved by three methods:
#1. Water Erosion
- A process where water lines
are installed at the top of the area to be cleaned and then these
surfaces are saturated with water for several hours which loosens
the built up dirt and pollution. This process will eventually
leave a clean masonry surface.
#2. Chemical Cleaning
- It is a process when certain
acidic solutions are applied to masonry surfaces, that react
with the built up dirt and pollution. This process loosens the
grime and then is easily rinsed away with a low water pressure
spray.
#3. Sandblasting
- This process cleans concrete
or stone surfaces by shooting abrasives, either by air pressure
or with water pressure.
